Located in Princeton, NJ, this Technology and Engineering Company is looking to bring on a Director of Security to build out their Cyber Security Program from the ground up. This is their first dedicated security hire, so this is for someone who has been in a leadership position, built out GRC programs, knows different SecOps tooling options, and can communicate effectively across infrastructure, application, and data teams. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The company itself is a industry leading technology company that has been breaking down barriers within their field, attracting household name companies to utilize their product in devices and technology we use every day. Since this is their first security hire, you’ll need to know how to design and customize a regulatory framework for a global company, as well as know how to leverage third party services like SOC and Audit Advisory. You’ll need to be 50/50 split, hands-on/strategy, as you will need to stand-up tools yourself in some cases. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to build from an empty sandbox with support from third-party entities, and internal engineers.
Required Skills & Experience
Must have at least 5+ years of Cybersecurity Leadership
Must be able to develop an international risk program
Strong knowledge of both on-prem and cloud technologies and integrations
Strong knowledge of GRC, designing frameworks, guiding and remediating audits, and working side by side with audit advisory firms
Hands-on experience with SecOps tooling, including Vulnerability Management, SIEM, EDR, DLP, IAM, etc…
Desired Skills & Experience
Ideally coming from Infrastructure and/or having a strong infrastructure understanding
Someone who understands international compliance
