Learn more about why you should join our team at www.sled.sc.gov. General Responsibility Provide solutions to end user support of a moderate to complex nature to ensure end user productivity. In addition, work on special projects as assigned by management. Develop and maintain current departmental documentation to ensure IT Security compliance. Specific Duties Co-manage current devices on the Microsoft InTune platform. Research and develop solutions to escalated mobile device issues that arise. Develop and maintain Virtual Desktop pools and images. Use InTune to create and maintain desktop images for new computer deployment. Create PowerShell scripts for moderate to complex solutions for daily issues. Use AutoPilot to update current PC and laptop deployments. Assist in research and development of solutions for new or unknown issues encountered on a daily basis. Serve as a technical resource for resolving highly complex software and hardware issues for users and desktop personnel. Provide preventative action recommendations to recurring software and hardware problems. Provide mentoring and training of the Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 service technicians to resolve moderately complex software and device issues. Ensure support technicians adhere to information security/information assurance polices, principles and practices in the delivery of customer support services for individuals. Assist on special projects as assigned by management. Other duties as required. Minimum and Additional Requirements A Bachelor’s degree and experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, or repair. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. Basic networking knowledge is required. Must have the ability to develop, implement and follow processes and procedures to ensure the secure ongoing management of the support and desktop environment. Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, to various levels of personnel. Experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, or repair. Experience with hardware/software including Windows Desktop OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Virtual Desktops, In Tune, AutoPilot, Powershell. Experience with Cisco Any Connect or other VPN technologies. May be required to travel and this may include overnight travel. Must be able to lift 15-50 pounds. Must pass a national fingerprint check and background check. This support is for a 24/7 infrastructure and will be on call. Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing/maintaining Windows desktops in virtual technologies preferred.
