Job Description:
TheInformation System Security Officer will provide vital support forthe implementation and maintenance of our information assuranceprotocols. You will collaborate on the development, coordination,and enforcement of information systems security policies,standards, and methodologies.
The Senior Information SystemsSecurity Officer shall possess the following capabilities: Maintains operational security posture for an informationsystem or program to ensure information systems security policies,standards, and procedures are established and followed. Assists with the management of security aspects of theinformation system and performs day-to-day security operations ofthe system. Evaluates security solutions to ensure they meet securityrequirements for processing classified information. Performs vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to supportcertification and accreditation. Provides configuration management (CM) for information systemsecurity software, hardware, and firmware. Manages changes to system and assesses the security impact ofthose changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include System SecurityPlans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification andAccreditation (C&A) packages, and System RequirementsTraceability Matrices (SRTMs). Assists security authorization activities in compliance withInformation System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP)and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, InformationAssurance, Information Security, or related discipline and 12 ormore years of related experience, in lieu of bachelor’s degree or aTechnical Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of 7+ years of experience as an ISSO supporting DoDprograms and contracts of similar scope, type, andcomplexity.
Certifications Required:
DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level II or IAT Level III (i.e.,CASP, CISSP, or Associate)Position requires active SecurityClearance with appropriate
