Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Security Engineer to join our team in LaVergne, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting our organization’s digital infrastructure by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing robust security measures, and responding to emerging threats. This includes testing for clients, remediation, and being involved in the Intune migration from Jira, as well as, implementing virtualized machines from on-prem servers and eventual Azure adoption. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and scans to identify security risks and propose effective solutions.
- Develop and execute remediation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities and strengthen security posture.
- Configure, manage, and optimize Palo Alto firewalls to ensure secure and efficient network traffic.
- Implement and monitor endpoint protection solutions, such as Microsoft Defender and Trend Micro, to safeguard against malware and cyber threats.
- Deploy and manage Intrusion Detection Systems to monitor and respond to potential security breaches.
- Analyze security alerts and provide timely responses to mitigate risks.
- Utilize SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar to aggregate and analyze log data for detecting security events.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analyses, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve incident response processes and elevate overall security monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, frameworks, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools and endpoint protection solutions such as Microsoft Defender and Trend Micro.
- Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls and related technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar for log analysis and event detection.
- Practical experience in incident response and handling escalations within a SOC environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and system hardening techniques.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
