Summary:
The Senior Data Analyst ensures safe food products by understanding food industry processes and regulations. This role involves planning, developing, implementing, and managing systems for data acquisition, storage, and retrieval within PDM systems used across the Enterprise. Responsibilities include designing training materials, consulting with IT project teams, defining data requirements, developing data standards, policies, and procedures, implementing data mining programs, evaluating new database technologies, and ensuring information security practices.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with IT and technical staff to ensure solutions meet business needs. Analyze and resolve software, system, or application errors promptly. Provide status reports and escalate issues as needed. Create and maintain documentation for systems and procedures. Train customers and team members on system usage. Identify opportunities to automate tasks and simplify workflows. Demonstrate problem-solving skills within and across technology areas. Build, maintain, and improve systems to support business processes.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a related field. Equivalent work experience may be acceptable.
Experience:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or a minimum of 4 years without a degree.
Computer Skills:
Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office 365, PLM software, and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI).
Communication Skills:
Ability to work cross-functionally within the Enterprise and with external customers and consultants.
Positive customer service and team approach required.
Special Skills:
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Supervisory:
Provide direction to team members, but no direct supervisory responsibility.
Travel:
0-2 trips per year.
Scope Data:
Support Poultry, Prepared, and Fresh Meats across the enterprise. Develop and maintain relationships with various departments to ensure product data accuracy for 118 production locations, multiple co-manufacturers, and over 20,000 product codes. Ensure completion of projects, including documentation and protection of proprietary information and intellectual property. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
