is looking for a Data Analyst II to join the Research Data Services group. This position is a full-time hybrid position. In this role, you will work closely with LIMRA’s data analysts and researchers on data analysis, survey management, project oversight, and data visualization. Responsibilities include understanding the business requirements of each project, selecting and utilizing the appropriate analytical tools, and applying the established best practices to your work. In addition, you may take on leadership roles for various projects, translating technical processes and results into clear action items for the organization. You will also serve as a liaison to researchers to provide production support for various benchmark studies, including maintaining various research databases and visualization dashboards. This position is ideal for you if you’re interested in participating and driving cross-functional collaborative work, furthering your technical skills and business knowledge while working with industry thought leaders, data experts, and cutting edge technologies. In addition you will also have the opportunity to do the following: Serve as a data analytics expert responsible for data preparation, analysis, and reporting for research projects Serve as technical support responsible for ad hoc data requests Build and maintain robust programs in R or Python to streamline manual data processes Create data visualizations Maintain research databases in SAS/SQL Mentor junior analysts What you will need to succeed: Intermediate tool proficiency in R, Python, Tableau/PowerBI, SAS, SQL, Excel Intermediate knowledge of statistical measures and techniques Strong attention to detail Robust time management and organizational skills Good written and oral communication skills with an ability to translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience Preferred Qualifications B.A. or B.S. in STEM or related field 3-7 years of experience in an analytics environment Able to independently write queries and create visualizations within relevant tools, with the ability to automate processes Experience manipulating large datasets using SQL or SAS Exposure to knowledge of financial products and instruments, preferably within the life and/or health insurance industry Who we are: Companies come to us because no other organization is in a better position to help them understand their customers, markets, distribution channels, and competitors.
