Data Governance Analyst Overview:

We are seeking a highly technical Data Management Analyst tosupport our Corporate Data Governance team. This role will focus onmanaging data assets, implementing governance frameworks, andmaintaining metadata repositories within Purview, our enterprisedata governance platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-onexperience with data governance platforms (required) and MicrosoftPurview (preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain data governance tools (Purview,SharePoint, PowerBI, etc), ensuring alignment with organizationaldata policies and standards.
• Support metadata management initiatives, including datacatalogs, data lineage tracking, and data classification.
• Collaborate with Data Governance Advisor, IT and businessstakeholders to define and enforce data governance policies.
• Assist in the integration and configuration of data governancetools to enhance data visibility and compliance.
• Perform data analysis and profiling to assess data completenessand accuracy, supporting remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize keygovernance insights, track performance trends, and supportdata-driven decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze data governance metrics, identifying trendsand recommending improvements as needed.
• Facilitate workshops and lead meetings on data governancetopics such as data lineage, data catalog, and metadatamanagement.
• Develop and deliver training to educate stakeholders on datagovernance tools, frameworks, and processes.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management,or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data governance platforms(required
• such as Purview (preferred platform), Collibra, Alation,Informatica, or similar.
• Experience with data cataloging, data lineage tracking, andmetadata management best practices.
• Ability to interpret and analyze large datasets to supportgovernance and compliance efforts.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with the abilityto engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex data governance concepts intoclear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Experience conducting training sessions or workshops on datagovernance topics such as data lineage, data cataloging, andmetadata management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science,Business Analytics, or a related field preferred.
