ICP Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Master Data Analyst to join our Information Technology (IT) team. This role is responsible for maintaining, governing, and improving the quality of master data across our enterprise systems—primarily within Syspro ERP. As a key member of the IT department, you will work closely with business units to define data standards, drive data quality, and ensure consistency across systems and processes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, an understanding of ERP structures, and a passion for enabling better decision-making through trusted data.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the IT owner for master data domains (e.g., items, customers, vendors, BOMs, chart of accounts) across Syspro and other enterprise platforms. Define and enforce master data policies, standards, and controls to ensure consistency and integrity. Partner with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with system capabilities and business processes. Perform regular audits and validations to maintain data integrity and compliance. Monitor and improve data quality using proactive audits, reporting, and root-cause analysis. Coordinate issue resolution with business users and IT team members, ensuring timely and accurate fixes. Support initiatives to cleanse, enrich, standardize, and deduplicate master data as needed. Establish and track data quality metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Maintain data structures within Syspro ERP and ensure proper setup and integration with other business systems. Support IT-led initiatives involving master data migration, integration, and automation. Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and vendors to implement data improvements or resolve integration-related data issues. Develop and maintain documentation for master data standards, processes, and data flows. Support training for business users on proper data entry practices and data governance principles. Act as a data liaison between IT and business functions, promoting shared ownership of data quality and standards. Participate in cross-functional projects involving ERP enhancements, system upgrades, or new module implementations. Conduct impact assessments and support user acceptance testing (UAT) related to master data changes. Contribute to change management plans by communicating data-related changes and ensuring smooth transitions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in master data management, preferably within an IT department supporting ERP systems. Experience with Syspro ERP or other mid-market ERP platforms is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of ERP data models and master data structures (items, vendors, customers, BOMs, etc.). Proficiency in Excel and SQL; experience with data cleansing, import/export, and reconciliation tools. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and principles. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across IT and business teams. Ability to communicate complex data issues in a clear and user-friendly manner. Experience delivering user training and creating process documentation. Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Self-starter who takes ownership of data integrity and improvement initiatives. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and competing demands.
