DESCRIPTION

This position provides a broad range of analytical and project management support to the Maritime Operations department. The role directly impacts the Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (“HESS”) performance of the Corporation through insightful analysis and transparency of relative performance across the fleet.

Essential Functions:

Supports the production of periodic reports to facilitate communication of business performance to internal stakeholders and external bodies including monthly/quarterly HESS performance, management incentive program (MIP) data and sustainability reporting. Quality assurance of Corporate HESS data, including inclusion/retention of aggregated data to facilitate downstream reporting. Supports process improvement initiatives on existing reporting efforts by leveraging tools including but not limited to PowerBI, SharePoint, and Teams.
Supports the production of incident data analytics (including root cause analysis) to identify trends and provide insight leading to policy, procedural and/or operational changes. Supports regular / ad-hoc analyses of HESS performance indicators to illustrate relative performance and opportunities for improvement. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in any technical /scientific / mathematical subject. 1-3 years’ experience in data management / reporting / analytics (Relevant experience in a maritime operations environment may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint.
Experience in PowerBI or similar software preferred.

Physical Demands:

Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel:

Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
