This individual will lead the design, development, and implementation of analytics solutions leveraging modern data platforms including Databricks , Cognos , and Power BI . You’ll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver actionable insights and scalable reporting frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise analytics solutions across multiple platforms. Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into robust data models and dashboards. Design and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Databricks (SQL, Python, Spark). Modernize existing reporting infrastructure (e.g., migrating from Cognos to Power BI or other platforms). Oversee data governance, security, and quality best practices. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data analysts and engineers. Work closely with cloud architects to optimize performance and cost in data workloads. Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and training for analytics tools and practices.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, with at least 2 years in a lead role Strong hands-on experience with: Databricks (data engineering, notebooks, Delta Lake, Spark) Cognos (Framework Manager, Report Studio, dashboarding) Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, gateway configuration) Experience in building data pipelines and working with large-scale datasets Proficient in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PySpark) Strong understanding of data warehouse/lakehouse concepts Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in migrating BI tools (e.g., Cognos to Power BI or Tableau) Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, SQL DB) Knowledge of data governance and security practices (e.g., role-based access, data lineage tools) Industry experience in manufacturing, insurance, or distribution is a plus
