Job Description
Data Fluency Leadpositions offered by UCB, Inc. (Smyrna, Georgia). Identify gaps in UCB data, evaluate potential data sets close such gaps, enlist stakeholders to conduct data POVs and work with stakeholders. Enhance data awareness to enable leveraging relevant data to make informed decisions. Perform as the inhouse data expert and support and coordinate new data onboarding efforts. Answer complex questions through data science, analysis, and clearly communicate findings to multi-functional teams for direction. Seek opportunities to improve data collection, reporting and consumption based on business needs. Translate business questions into analysis plans, execute the analysis and communicate the results. Create visuals for analytical outputs to facilitate utility of analysis for business users. Take data from disparate sources, apply statistical modeling, analyze and interpret its specific meaning. Clearly convey the significance of findings with an assessment tailored to individual teams, as well as the larger strategic impact for the business as a whole. Exhibit critical strategic thinking and creative problem solving in order to scope work, shape deliverables, set priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate results that can be understood and acted on. Ability to navigate between hands-on technical coaching (e.g. python, R, SQL) tactical project leadership, and business focused consulting with business stakeholders and executive leadership.
Requires a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in computer engineering or a related technical field and 5 years of experience in data analysis. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Utilizing SQL and Python; Developing reports with business intelligence (BI) tools; and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accountability. Must have 2 years of experience in the following: Utilizing statistical techniques to identify key insights that help solve business problems. Position reports to Smyrna, GA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be gained concurrently.
