Apr 30, 2025 The Georgia Department of Education Office of Federal Programs is seeking a candidate responsible for providing, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating, developing, and presenting reports and visualizations related to programs under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to include federal and state data requirements, program and initiative implementation, and outcome measures. Position will apply appropriate statistical measurements to data; review school system (LEA) and state (SEA) data to develop comparison trends; and design and develop reports as requested. Duties include but are not limited to: Collect, compile, analyze and interpret state and national demographic and assessment data to determine patterns and comparison trends Develop user-friendly reports and presentations on analytical findings to present to and assist internal and external stakeholder groups, including Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs), Regional Education Service Agencies (RESAs), Georgia Learning Resource Systems (GLRS), parent & community-based partners, among others. Conduct research reviews to determine patterns, correlations, and issues and alternative causes of student performances, making inferences about data and complete statistical calculations. Conduct research projects and develop protocols to ensure the validity of all data presented. Prepare and maintain current data visualizations, both internal and external Run additional requested reports focused on improvement of EL achievement, as needed for other SEA departments. Develop resources and providing training for LEAs/schools on data literacy and using tools for data informed decision-making processes Support staff in the development of federal reporting requirements Adhere to work procedures and processes that support agency standards. Statewide travel may be required.
