The role of data analyst co-op will have an impact on our mission through working to improve the quality of our data, enabling us to use our data more effectively, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver value through data. The work runs a broad range from working directly with some of our systems to make sure that data requests are entered and updated accurately, to performing data audits to improve the overall state of our data assets, to helping us with some large data migration and quality efforts, to contributing to the envisioning and delivery of our data roadmap. CJP is on a transformational journey to move from legacy systems to state of the art solutions like Salesforce and Sage Intacct. Data quality will be a key element of us being able to realize the potential of our data assets more fully. The accuracy and integrity of CJP’s data assets is essential to the success of the organization. We are looking for a detail- and process-oriented individual who is passionate about data and learning and who is interested in collaborating with a broad team to help ensure our continued success. Essential Functions:

Researches data sources to understand existing data and works to understand the path to mapping, transforming, and moving the data to new structures and systems Contributes to our data governance program by, for example, working to extend and deepen our data catalog Delivers components to our ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure quality data migration and proper data movement to support organizational requirements Develops test cases and test data to ensure the high-quality functioning of our systems Works directly with our constituent management solutions to ensure the accurate maintenance of records Performs scheduled data audits, correcting resulting data as needed Participates in data projects including the preparation and analysis of large data sets Use modern technology approaches like machine learning to improve outcomes through opportunities like automation and advanced analytics Designs and implements measures and reports to track process outcomes and determine areas for improvement Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skill Requirements:

Understanding of database systems and structures Direct knowledge of working with modern data capture technology systems and the need for accurate capture of information Experience designing and implementing reporting solutions Exposure to Constituency Relationship Managements (CRM) (e.g. Salesforce) and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) (e.g. Snowflake) solutions preferred Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and ensure clear understanding of data requests and updates Ability to quickly learn elements and conventions of a CRM fundraising and grantmaking software Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to work independently Thoroughness and curiosity to investigate inconsistencies or errors in data Flexibility to address urgent requests

Working Conditions:
Hybrid Work Schedule:

CJP staff follow a hybrid work model. On-site work is required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while remote work is an option on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays with occasional in-person meetings on those days.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves remaining in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods, primarily working at a computer. Staff need to be able to carry a laptop and bag to and from the office.
