Data Security Analyst Position Available In Cumberland, Maine

Description Seeking a passionate and proactive Security Champion serve as a bridge between the security and development teams. This role is ideal for someone with a strong development background who is enthusiastic about embedding security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and enabling teams to build secure applications from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Security Enablement Act as a security advocate within development teams, promoting secure coding practices and awareness. Provide guidance and training to developers on security best practices, tools, and frameworks. Collaborate with security teams to translate security policies and standards into actionable guidance for engineering teams. Help integrate security tools and processes into CI/CD pipelines. Application Security Conduct threat modeling, code reviews, and security assessments for new and existing applications. Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in collaboration with development teams. Support secure design and architecture decisions during the planning and development phases. Monitor and respond to security incidents related to application vulnerabilities. Collaboration & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact between the security team and assigned development teams. Champion a culture of security through regular communication, workshops, and knowledge sharing. Participate in security communities of practice and contribute to internal documentation and playbooks. Requirements 3+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or application security. Solid understanding of secure coding principles and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10). Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and container scanning. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Certifications such as CSSLP, GWAPT, or OSCP. Experience conducting threat modeling and risk assessments.
