$60,907.00 – $91,451.00
Salary will be negotiable and commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mississippi Department of Education is seeking to employ a Data Analyst II for the Office of Technology and Strategic Services (OTSS). This position will work to create and maintain data systems for MDE applications, ensure there is proper documentation of all requirements and business rules, and works in collaboration with vendors and other agency staff to design, develop and manage the creation of federally required reports using the Generate application.
Responsibilities will include:

• Rationalizing and mapping data between transactional and dimensional database models/systems.
• Working closely with the database and system administrators to develop stored procedures and ETL processes related to the data warehouse system.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
• Must possess analytical and complex problem-solving skills.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency with

SQL, T-SQL

required.

• Experience with Azure Synapse or Azure Data Factory preferred.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5+ years of IT experience with emphasis in data management.
