Proposed Annual Salary, Hourly Rate or One-time payment Essential Duties Mississippi IHL data file reporting /editing/documenting
Retention/Graduation Rate Database Management & Reports
Fact Book creation (annual project but takes weeks/month to complete)
Course evaluation administration
Enrollment database management & reporting (This is done daily during registration and less frequently at other points.)
Provides oversight for the University’s assessment activities
Assists departments with assessment report creation through TracDat Assessment software
Completion of external surveys such as Chronicle’s Great Colleges to Work For
Administration of internal surveys
Providing data and documentation for SACSCOC regional accreditation reports as well as degree program accreditation reports
Completion of ad-hoc internal and external data requests
Degree Book creation
Student-right-to-know reporting
Assist with IPEDS Surveys reporting (This process can take weeks to complete.)
Maintenance of office website
Completion of MUW Annual Assessment Report
Coordinates data edits with various internal offices
Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the

Director of Institutional Research & Assessment Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience:

Master’s degree in relevant field preferred with three years of relevant work experience; if no master’s degree, five years of relevant work experience preferred
Preferred degree or area of study may include MIS, Business, Accounting, Social Sciences, etc.
Advanced knowledge using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
Proven experience as a data analyst
Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to data and/or assessment problems
Solid knowledge and understanding of data importance and business implications

Ability to create internal surveys as needed

Administrative Banner experience
Experience in assessment software, such as Nuventive TracDat
Experience in course evaluation/survey software such as Watermark

Job Description Summary The Data & Assessment Analyst position reports to the Director of Institutional Research & Assessment (IR&A). This professional position must support both the institutional research and assessment university functions. This person will be responsible for projects such as enrollment reporting, retention/graduation rate reports, Fact Book creation, MS IHL Data File reporting /editing/documenting, course evaluation administration, assisting departments with assessment report creation through Assessment software, completion of external surveys such as Chronicle Great Colleges to Work For, administration of internal surveys, providing data and documentation for SACSCOC regional accreditation reports as well as degree program accreditation reports, and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of IR&A.
