The work location for this position at our Brandon, MS, facility with occasional travel to our other locations in the state.

Job Summary:

The Inventory and Data Analyst is responsible for performing various analytical tasks including collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to provide valuable insights within the organization. This role involves identifying trends, making recommendations based on data, and helping the company optimize its’ operations. Will also be responsible for inventory management while providing administrative support to the General Manager.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

in everything we do. Collecting and analyzing data to help the company make informed decisions. Will use databases, spreadsheets, APIs, web scraping, or other data extraction methods. Revise data to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Effectively manage missing data and outliers. Responsible for inventory management, for instance, verifying the warehouse inventory and placing orders for all Exell products. Apply statistical and analytical techniques to explore data sets, identify trends, correlations, and patterns, and extract actionable insights. Prepare and deliver regular and as needed reports or visuals (charts, graphs, etc.), summarizing key findings and insights to support decision-making processes. Maintain data banks and ensure data integrity and security. Implement data governance and data quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including revenue manager, senior leadership, and department managers, to understand data requirements and address business challenges. Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis and data science. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency through data analysis.

Physical Demands:

Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods of time. Hand manipulation for operating a computer.

Work Environment:

Work is mostly performed in an office environment. May work in storage rooms or dock areas occasionally. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and approved driving record. Bachelor’s degree in related fields (business, statistics, accounting, etc). Strong written communication skills and ability to interact with customers and managers. Expert level skills in Microsoft excel program with knowledge of v look up, macros and formulas. Proficient with all Microsoft office programs.
