Description of Duties:
This position provides technical assistance to support the data collections and operations required for the implementation of the North Carolina statewide testing and accountability programs. This position supports the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction’s Office of Accountability and Testing and public school unit testing and accountability coordinators in implementing the technical operations associated with the use of processes, systems and applications required for efficient and quality data collection, analyses, and reporting. Duties include providing training and support to local school staff related to applications and data collections, assisting in the preparation and monitoring of quality assurance standards, and ensuring efficient implementation of data collection processes and data submissions required for the statewide testing and accountability programs from each public school unit in the assigned region. The assigned accountability region for this position is Accountability Region 2, serving the northwestern North Carolina public school units. Some travel is required, in addition to some evening and weekend work.
Education and Experience:
The minimum requirements are graduation from a two-year technical college with a degree in data processing, technology, computer science and one year of experience in data processing or assistance; or graduation from a four-year college or university and six months of experience in data processing or assistance; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
