About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Consultant to support complex, large-scale data initiatives within a financial services environment. In this role, you will provide strategic consultation and technical expertise to address multifaceted data challenges, with a focus on risk management and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Lead and consult on enterprise-level data management initiatives with significant business impact.
Analyze and resolve complex data issues involving multiple variables, including novel or ambiguous factors.
Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure alignment with data governance, compliance, and business objectives.
Provide subject matter expertise in data architecture, data quality, and risk data aggregation.
Contribute to the development of scalable data solutions that support market risk, counterparty risk, and financial risk functions.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure successful implementation.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management, or equivalent experience through consulting, military service, or education.
Proficiency in SQL and Java for data querying and application development.
Prior experience in financial services, specifically in market risk, counterparty risk, or financial risk domains.
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a banking or financial institution.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
