This role involves close collaboration with auditors, investigators, and agency stakeholders to generate insights that enhance decision-making and promote transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from state agencies. Detect trends, anomalies, and patterns in financial and operational data. Build dashboards, visualizations, and data models to support audit reporting. Provide data-driven insights to audit and investigative teams. Automate data analysis and reporting processes where possible. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. Present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders. Contribute to predictive analytics and risk models to detect fraud or inefficiencies.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred). 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in government, auditing, or finance. Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or equivalent languages. Skilled in visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with audit principles, financial regulations, or government systems is a plus. Knowledge of predictive analytics or machine learning is a bonus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
