Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Analyst to co-lead the design and development of data services for the Data Experience Squad. This role involves end-to-end responsibility across the data lifecycle, including defining data requirements, designing dimensional models, and delivering high-impact data products for corporate technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep analytical expertise, strong communication skills, and hands-on experience with modern data platforms. Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to large-scale data or BI projects, including requirements gathering, analysis, and translation into data-driven solutions.
Design and implement dimensional data models to support robust and scalable analytics.
Apply data governance and metadata management best practices using tools like Power Designer, Collibra, and Alation.
Perform in-depth data analysis and profiling using SQL and Python to extract actionable insights.
Develop data solutions on the Snowflake platform, leveraging its capabilities for data lifecycle management and sharing architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand complex business processes and translate them into effective data solutions.
Communicate sophisticated technical concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
Support Agile methodologies and DevOps tools; work in environments using Jira and Jira Align.
Drive continuous learning and stay updated with the latest trends in data analytics and platforms.
Contribute to enterprise-level reporting and analytics strategies to support critical IT and business capabilities. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in data analysis or data engineering, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of related experience.
Strong experience with data analysis, data profiling, and SQL/Python.
Proven track record of designing and delivering data solutions across complex enterprise environments.
Familiarity with data governance practices and tools such as Power Designer, Collibra, and Alation.
Experience working with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships. Preferred Qualifications
SnowPro certification.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Jira Align.
Prior exposure to DevOps practices in data engineering projects.
