Contracting Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Quality Analyst (ETL) to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of enterprise data pipelines. You’ll create tests and validate ETL processes across source, staging, and target systems, working closely with engineering and BI teams. Key Responsibilities Analyze business requirements and data flows to design comprehensive test plans and ETL test cases Perform data validation and reconciliation across source systems, staging layers, and targets (e.g. DWH, data lakes) Develop and execute both automated and manual tests for data accuracy and integrity Write and run complex SQL queries to verify data transformations and detect anomalies Log, track, and manage data-related defects and inconsistencies Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to refine ETL processes and pipelines Maintain QA documentation and advocate for continuous process improvement
Required Skills :
SQL Expertise:
Strong ability to author and optimize complex queries for data validation and ETL testing
ETL Testing Experience:
Proven track record validating data pipelines, transformations, and loads
Data Warehousing Knowledge:
Understanding of schemas, dimensional modeling, fact tables, SCDs, etc.
QA Practices:
Experience designing test cases, executing tests, and tracking defects
QA Tools:
Familiar with JIRA, TestRail, or comparable test-case & defect-management tools
Agile Environment:
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within Agile/Scrum teams Nice‑to‑Hav e: Hands-on with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage) or cloud-native (Databricks, Glue, Dataflow) Automation experience using Python, pytest, Selenium, or similar frameworks for data testing Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery Understanding of CI/CD practices and integrating QA into pipelines Knowledge of data-quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Deequ, etc.) Exposure to BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
