Senior Data Analytics Engineer Position Available In New York, New York

Gather requirements around metrics / Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for analytical reporting.

Specific duties include:

designing and building logical, physical design aspects for data warehouse schemas to store data required for deriving analytical metrics with efficient data storage and faster response for large volume analytical queries; owning and manage all aspects of data warehouse system to ensure its availability and performance on each layer of data such as raw, refined and derived metric reporting layer; determining Time-to-live (TTL) period for data based on business category by working with stakeholders across organizations and maintain data availability; monitoring performance of the data warehouse over time to make sure timely metric reporting to stakeholders; maintaining identity access management and ensuring data access privileges are up to date as per the compliance standards for end users and system users; identifying sources of data by partnering with the engineering teams and building data pipelines to collect data from primary / secondary data sources and transform data within the warehouse; performing necessary data mapping and transformation to prepare for validation and loading; creating and scheduling pipelines using airflow to pull source systems data and maintain data availability and dependencies by using data pipeline triggers and sensors; working closely with the engineering team to develop new tools and methods for data ingest and integration of new systems data; creating and modifying documentation related to integrations to ensure that data gathering processes are sustainable and automate repeatable processes; building extract, transform and load (ETL) frameworks for faster and streamlined data warehouse loads along with measure to handle ETL failures and perform auto-error remedy/recovery through the ETL framework components; collaborating with product and operations/administrative teams to build one-off reports and dashboards visualizations using looker; building custom analytics required for product experimentation / new solution development; identifying opportunities for automation / performance improvements within the project teams or analytics teams’ workflows; working alongside a customer success manager and coding analysts to engage and inform on their data obligations and build data visuals and automate data visuals reports on time deliveries. May telecommute from home office anywhere in U.S.
