This role combines analytical expertise with business intelligence skills, leveraging SQL, SSRS, Power BI, and Visual Studio to design and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards. It also involves designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between enterprise systems using tools such as APIs, middleware, and ETL processes to ensure seamless data exchange and workflow automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a proactive approach to solving data challenges, experience with integration technologies and techniques, and a keen ability to collaborate across university departments. Due to the nature of this position, there will be times when you would be expected to work outside of normal business hours due to system validation after upgrades, report support, etc. Bryant University is a private New England university with a tradition of innovation and a global vision for success. Principal Accountabilities Data Analysis and Reporting:

Extract, clean, and analyze data from various sources to generate actionable insights. Develop and maintain standard and custom reports using SQL, SSRS, and Power BI. Monitor data integrity and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting.

Business Intelligence Solutions:

Design, build, and deploy BI solutions to support organizational goals. Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations to provide real-time business insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and tailor BI solutions to their needs.

System Integration Development:

Design, develop, and maintain system integrations to ensure seamless data flow across enterprise platforms. Utilize APIs, middleware platforms, and ETL tools to support integration initiatives. Map data transformations and develop workflows to automate integration processes. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with existing integrations to minimize system downtime. Ensure integration solutions adhere to security standards, including proper authentication and encryption.

Collaboration and Support:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and data needs. Train team members and business users on how to access and interpret reports and dashboards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reporting tools and BI solutions.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation in reporting workflows. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions. Document all reporting processes, including data sources, methodologies, and user guides. This is a hybrid position, providing the ability to work remotely up to 2 days a week after an initial 90 day new hire period. Qualifications Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field. 1+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL, including complex query writing and database management. Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, and Visual Studio. Knowledge of data visualization best practices and tools. Familiarity with database architecture and optimization techniques. Experience in scripting and automation for data extraction and reporting is a plus. Proficiency in building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs to enable seamless data exchange between systems. Experience with data transformation and mapping to support workflow automation and integration requirements. Understanding of authentication and security protocols, including OAuth, SAML, and encryption standards for integrations.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Effective communication and ability to present data-driven insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
