Oncology Data Research Analyst 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 1 Medical Center Boulevard, Cookeville, TN 38501 Cookeville Regional Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Oncology Data Research Analyst to join our Cancer Center team! The Oncology Data Research Analyst will work with the following age groups based upon individual responsibility, training, and competency: Adults (age 18 years- 64 years) and Geriatrics’ (age 65 + years). This position is responsible for maintaining the cancer registry data in accordance with the standards of the American College of Surgeons. Performs registry activities of case finding, abstracting, coding and staging cases, follow up, data entry and data retrieval. Other duties as assigned
Education:
Associates degree or higher required. ODS (Oncology Data Specialist) status required within 3 years of hire.
Experience:
At least three years experience in medical records or related field. Must possess knowledge of human anatomy as it relates to disease, experience and basic knowledge of computer software and keyboard skills. Must possess ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and extract pertinent information. Must be able to work well under pressure. Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to organize work in a well organized manner. Cooperative, congenial and positive behavior exhibited.
