Job Summary
The Sr. Claims Assistant and Data Analyst -primary objective is to take the first report on iing claim calls. In addition, they will assist the claims team by performing routine clerical and administrative duties such as: providing customer assistance, data processing, record keeping, and additional duties as assigned. This position will be fully remote.
Key Responsibilities Answer the telephone system and direct calls accordingly as 1st contact with the insured.
Provide First Call Resolution
Problem Solve, deescalate calls.
New Loss Claim Intake
Assist in the handling of Incident Files (clerical support to assist with file creation and issuance of letters)
Provide support to claims team as needed.
Set up new claims received.
Send claim assignments to adjusters.
Send out claim acknowledgment letters.
Other duties as assigned.
Support Data Analysis
Qualifications
2-3 years of Customer Service and Call Center Experience.
Basic Insurance knowledge, ability to read and understand insurance policies and coverages.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change quicky.
Clerical / Administrative experience needed, typing 30-40 wpm, proficient in office products such as Microsoft word, excel.
Attention to Detail.
Fast learner.
Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills.
High School Diploma required, Associates degree or higher preferred
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
