Create strategies and design solutions for a wide variety of use cases such as data migration (ETL/ELT process), database optimization, and data architectural solutions for analytics data projects; utilize Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server Integration Services, and Power Query to transform and move data across various formats and sources; create and manage computing and data resources in Moran’s on-premise servers and in the Azure cloud environment; lead the design and development of robust and scalable data warehouse solutions, ensuring efficient storage, security, retrieval, and analysis of large datasets; optimize Sparks jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability, leveraging Spark’s core features to meet data processing and analytics needs; work with Azure Synapse SQL Pools to optimize data storage and retrieval while implementing best practices for data security and compliance; work with Moran’s data warehouse and contribute to strategies and solutions for data migration, data optimization, and data architecture for analytics projects; utilize Apache Spark for distributed data processing, implementing efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to handle diverse data sources and formats; develop queries, programs, and scripts to automate data processes; and collaborate with stakeholders on requirements for reports and analytics. Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, or an Engineering related major along with 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer including utilization of Microsoft Azure Delta Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Data Warehouse. 5 years professional experience must also include programming with C#, Python, or R. Must be able to work at the Moran Towing Corporation office at 10301 Deerwood Park Blvd, Suite 150, Jacksonville, FL 32256 for 3 days a week. The other 2 days per week can be worked remotely at a location within commuting distance of the office.
