RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AWS Data Engineer in Largo, FL.
About the

Role:

The client is seeking two experienced AWS Data Engineers to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in data engineering, particularly with AWS tools, and will play a critical role in building and enhancing their data lake. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established environment with a great team and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Senior Architect to build and establish standards and foundations for their data lake
• Work in a pattern-based environment to ensure quick value addition
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline data processes
• Handle and expose various data types, including email data, within the data lake
• Work with legacy databases, particularly MariaDB, to migrate and integrate data into the new data lake

REQUIREMENTS

• Ideally 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on working on large-scale data warehouses
• Strong experience with AWS tools such as Redshift, Athena, Glue, Lambda, Lake Formation, and ECR, Linux, CI/CD practices or others
• Experience utilizing AWS tools such as Redshift, Athena, Glue, Lambda, Lake Formation, ECR, and Docker
• Comfortable with Docker and DBT modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively in a scrum team, dividing and conquering tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
