: Lead Data Engineer
POSITIONDESCRIPTION
: Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. is seeking a LeadData Engineer with the following duties: Partner closely withstakeholders in the RDBU to build a solid business acumen anddevelop a material understanding of the respective businessstrategy; Co-develop the RDBU data product strategy in closecollaboration with stakeholders and leadership; Develop and ownrealistic, achievable product roadmaps; Analyze businessrequirements, evaluate solution options, and facilitate businessreviews; Develop and maintain pipelines that meet business needs,adhere to company standards, and incorporate best practicesexploiting the benefits of cloud-nativity; Lead technical solutionreviews with stakeholders; Directly support or coordinate with thehelp of DD&T SMEs complex data challenges to findfit-for-purpose solutions; Take full accountability for RDBUspecific data products and help plan, mature, and support suchincluding for development and ongoing operation of KPI’s forquality and availability; Work with DevOps teams to operationalizedata products and help in troubleshooting when needed; Co-designand proactively mature effective and modern data architectures(conceptual, logical, and physical models) within company’s USBUand Global data ecosystem; Lead and/or participate in theevaluation, implementation and deployment of emerging tools andprocesses including but not limited to analytics, data engineering,data quality, data governance, AI and GenAI. Up to 70% remote workallowed.
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Data Analytics, BusinessAnalytics, Data Engineering or related field plus 3 years of priorexperience.
Prior experience must include:
Design, develop andmaintain scalable data pipelines and architecture using AWS nativetechnologies to support all therapeutic areas by increasing dataaccessibility and fostering data driven decision making across thecompany; Build and maintain technical solutions required foroptimal ingestion, transformation and loading of EDC and externalvendor data from a wide variety of systems viz; Veeva andElluminate for preparation of SDTM, ADaM and TLF data; Leverage thepower of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitivetechnologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves ofdata, generate insights, and inform decision-making; Implementlarge-scale data ecosystems including data management, governanceand the integration of structured and unstructured data to generateinsights leveraging cloud-based platforms; Use knowledge in Hadooparchitecture, HDFS commands and Massively Parallel Processing (MPP)databases’ experience in designing, building and managing largescale data structures and pipelines; optimized queries to builddata pipelines. Full time. $147,000.00 – $244,400.00 per year.
