: Senior Data Engineer

POSITIONDESCRIPTION

: Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking aSenior Data Engineer with the following duties: Design and maintainrobust technical solutions for efficient ingestion, transformation,and loading of diverse data sources and large-scale, complexdatasets with a focus on clinical and operational data; Develop andembed data profiling and data quality methodologies into datatransformation processes across systems; Manage and influence datapipelines and analytical approaches, employing varioustechnologies, big data preparation techniques, and programming todiscover data patterns through exploratory analysis; Providetechnical leadership on clinical data flow, assisting with thedefinition, build, and validation of APIs, data streams, and datastaging for extraction and integration into various systems;Translate data science requirements from extensive records(billions) and unstructured datasets into mathematical algorithmsusing a range of tools, including programming languages andadvanced technologies (AI and machine learning), to identify datapatterns and optimize models; Possess strong expertise in ETL/ELTdesign and implementation within large, disparate, and complexdatasets; Demonstrate experience with big data processing systemsand distributed computing technologies such as Databricks, Spark,Sage Maker, and Kafka; Develop scalable and efficient solutions oncloud computing platforms and infrastructure within the data andanalytics domain; up to 100% remote work allowed.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering orrelated field plus 5 years of related experience.

Prior experiencemust include:

Analyze requirements to establish a centralizedvirtualization layer using Denodo for data integration andoptimization; Develop a solution to integrate TIDAL with Denodovirtualization tool for publishing reports as web services;Automate a solution to load huge data chunks using with TeradataUtilities such as multi-load, fast-load etc.; Participate indesigning and implementing the transition from legacy systems tofuture systems using Informatica and Mainframe jobs.
