Why join us? excellent benefits 401kmeaningful mission hybrid work-life balance Job Details The SeniorData Engineer plays a key role in shaping and advancing theorganization’s data infrastructure strategy. Reporting to theDirector of Data Engineering, this position is responsible for thedesign, development, and optimization of scalable databases, datapipelines, and data interfaces. The ideal candidate brings strongexpertise in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS,or Google Cloud, enabling the delivery of robust, high-performancedata solutions aligned with business objectives. With a solidfoundation in Big Data technologies—including Spark and moderncloud-based ETL tools like Databricks—the Senior Data Engineerenhances the team’s ability to tackle complex data challenges.
Operating within an Agile/SCRUM environment, this role ensurestimely and innovative project execution. Additionally, the positionincludes mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture oftechnical excellence and continuous improvement. Collaboration iscentral to this role, involving close coordination with datascientists, business intelligence teams, software engineers, andother stakeholders to transform complex data requirements intoactionable and scalable engineering solutions.
EssentialExperience:
7 years of progressive experience in data engineering,with significant expertise in designing, implementing, andoptimizing databases and data pipelines. Extensive hands-onexperience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databasemanagement systems (RDBMS). Proficiency in SQL and Python foradvanced data manipulation and analytics. Demonstrated experiencewith data modeling and architecture for both analytics andtransactional systems within large-scale environments.
Cloud andBig Data Experience:
Proficient with at least one major cloud dataplatform (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) with practical application indata engineering projects. Familiarity with Big Data technologiessuch as Spark and Cloud ETL tools like Databricks, focusing onscalability and real-time processing capabilities.
Methodology andTools:
Proven track record of using Agile and SCRUM methodologiesto drive successful project delivery in a dynamic developmentenvironment. Experience in developing data models for integrationand analysis that support business intelligence and data analyticsinitiatives. Any combination of education, training, and experiencethat provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities toperform the essential functions of the job.
PreferredQualifications Education:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, DataScience, Information Technology or other quantitative disciplinessuch as Science, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics. Experiencewith the Microsoft Azure technology stack or similar technologiesin competing platforms.
