The Wealth Management Data Solutions (WMDS) organization provides direct technology support for core engineering products, operational data products and data analytics. It develops and drives engineering strategy, while enabling tech transformation by partnering closely with WIM product groups. About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a transformative Lead Data Engineer to develop the data enablement products for some of the Data Solutions products in Wealth Management Technology. This person will be responsible working to execute the roadmap of engineering teams with latest technologies, principles and deliver the data products aligned with the needs of the sourcing API platforms. Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale software planning for the Technology areaDesign, develop, and run tooling to discover problems in data and applications and report the issues to engineering and product leadershipReview and analyze complex software enhancement initiatives for business, operational or technical improvements that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factorsMake decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational changeStrategically collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve highly risky data engineering challengesBuild and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reportingReview and analyze moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factorsOversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysisResolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience implementing, managing, or utilizing data environments (SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, etc.)3+ years of experience Python development4+ years of experience implementing Kafka based solutions5+ years of experience with ETL tools like CDC, Informatica, and building ETL pipelines2+ years’ experience in designing and building Data Quality frameworks

Desired Qualifications:

4+ years of experience using standard BI tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)Experience with CI/CD tools like Udeploy, Liquibase, HarnessExperience using Debezium connectorsExperience using tools like
