Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Data Engineer highly skilled with collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover insights and support informed decision-making within an organization. The ideal Data Engineer will be hybrid 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) in Cary, NC . Requirements for the Data Engineer include:
- Identify improvement opportunities by collaborating with business leaders and users.
- Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and pain points.
- Design and optimize complex data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and analysis.
- Work with analysts and associates to process and analyze information.
- Create process flows for business procedures and evaluate potential system enhancements. Qualifications for the Data Engineer include:
- 5+ years of experience working hands on with SQL and Power BI.
- 2+ years of experience in the financial services field
- Advanced understanding of GCP, AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding Python
- Ability to work with multiple projects at once
- Communicate and document requirements from business stakeholders and technical leaders
- Bachelors degree in computer information systems or related field, Masters preferred.
- Must be able to hold a security clearance in the US Compensation for the Data Engineer includes:
- Salary range: $125,000 – $145,000
