About the job The Customer Intelligence R D team is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work on our newest Marketing AI offering. Marketing AI empowers marketing teams with purpose-built machine learning pipelines or tailored ‘recipes’ that transform their data into actionable models for a wide range of marketing use cases. Marketing AI is a full SaaS, value stream aligned team orchestrating work in multiple development layers from UI to mid-service layer down to cloud database and event processing. Working on new software is an opportunity to try new things, experiment and grow, and quickly incorporate customer feedback incrementally through rapid deployment.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will: Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines using distributed processing technologies.
Develop and maintain ETL workflows to ingest, transform, and serve data from diverse data sources.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to build base tables and enable efficient data access.
Optimize data processing jobs for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to technical strategy.
Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers in best practices for software and data engineering.
Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to build and deploy big data solutions.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience developing enterprise-level solutions
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Demonstrable experience with Python programming language
Experience with big data tools and ecosystems: Apache Spark, Hive, HDFS, Airflow, etc.
Solid understanding of distributed computing principles and data architecture patterns (e.g., data lake, data mesh, etc.).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Java programming language
Experience with stream processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Flink, Kafka Streams).
Experience working with container platforms and technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes and cloud deployments
Experience with Amazon Web Services, or similar cloud offerings
Usage of Git, GitHub, GitLab, and/or Jenkins.
