Job Description
Catalina Marketing Corporation is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist in St. Petersburg, FL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Responsibilities:
Work on medium to large or complex projects that require subject matter expertise across multiple functional areas, operations or processes. Lead project planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to gather and analyze user requirements. Develop business case analysis to support recommendations. Formulate complex mathematical models in an appropriate programming language or application. Analyze raw input data from computer or other media. Develop business case analysis. Validate and test models. Facilitate the design, development, and planning of viable solutions to complex business problems. Utilize and stay current on applicable programming languages and software technologies.
Requirements to include:
Ph.D in Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related. Plus 24 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation, including two (2) years of Data Science experience and two (2) years’ of experience with each of the following skills: Python and C++/Java; Cloud distributed computing such as Databricks; Machine learning frameworks including sk-learn, and tensorflow; and LINUX, bitbucket, Target Process/JIRA, or other Agile development tools, concepts of data engineering.
