    The Data Scientist for Player Performance and Development will bridge the gap between advanced analytics and practical basketball development, creating visualization tools that translate data into actionable development plans.

This role requires deep basketball knowledge, understanding of skill acquisition principles, and the ability to design intuitive data systems that coaches, players, and recruiters can use to make informed decisions. What You’ll Do

  • Design and maintain interactive player development dashboards that visualize key metrics with clear, actionable takeaways for non-technical audiences
  • Process and integrate data from multiple sources (Cerebro, Sportradar, NOAH) into a unified analytics platform
  • Develop predictive models to forecast player development trajectories and identify high-potential recruits
  • Create personalized player development plans with visual progression pathways, connecting statistical data to specific training recommendations
  • Design recruiting presentations that showcase prospect fit, projected development curves, and comparative analyses
  • Analyze game film alongside performance data to identify technical adjustments and decision-making patterns
  • Build automated tracking systems that monitor player progress against development goals
  • Generate performance reports with actionable insights for coaching staff, highlighting both team and individual development trends
