The ideal candidate is a rare hybrid, a scientist with the programming abilities to scrape, combine, and manage data from a variety of sources and a statistician who knows how to derive insights from the information within. What You’ll Do:
Data Quality Management:
Utilize SQL and data visualization to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues and anomalies, assessing their business impact. Design and implement data monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and prevent data anomalies. Conduct data quality audits, document investigations, and implement process improvements to ensure data integrity. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement data fixes and preventative measures, including the development of data validation rules. Be responsible for implementing and overseeing data corrections to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Data Analysis and Communication:
Analyze data, logs, and system outputs to pinpoint the root cause of discrepancies and evaluate potential downstream effects. Independently prepare datasets, conduct advanced analytics, and develop solutions using data structures, algorithms, and models. Package, visualize, and present analytical findings to management and stakeholders, clearly articulating the business impact.
Team Contribution:
Review and guide the work of peers and junior data scientists. What experience you need BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline 5-7 years of experience in a related analytical role Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization Experience analyzing large datasets, demonstrating strong analytical skills and a commitment to detail-oriented work Strong understanding of entity matching algorithms, including fuzzy matching, probabilistic record linkage, and deduplication Experience in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success Passion for data science, data mining, machine learning and experience with big data architectures and methods What could set you apart An advanced degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) Cloud certification strongly preferred Additional role-based certifications may be required depending upon region/BU requirements We offer comprehensive compensation and healthcare packages, 401k matching, paid time off, and organizational growth potential through our online learning platform with guided career tracks.
