Equifax has a newly created role due to growth for a Technical Data Steward to support Commercial Business Unit on our USIS Team in our Alpharetta, GA office. This role will manage day to day stewardship of Commercial Corporate Linkage data assets and processes with a specialized focus on technical methods of improving and maintaining data quality and coverage. This role requires deep technical proficiency in modern machine learning techniques as well as strong business acumen. Knowledge of commercial (business) information is a strong plus. What you’ll do Engage across the following functional areas: Work closely with internal clients in all phases of prototype development and deployment Integrate diverse data sources, data types and data structures into data solutions Develop analytical approaches to meet business requirements; this involves translating requests into use cases, test cases, preparation of training data sets and iterative product development Research innovative data solutions (in distributed cloud computing constrained and unconstrained optimization) to solve real market problems Deploy innovations, including AI/ML techniques for predictive analytics Mine Big Data and other unstructured data to tap untouched data sources and deliver insight into new and emerging data-driven solutions Develop and implement NLP solutions for keying and linking Work with key stakeholders and understand their needs to develop advanced solutions or improve existing solutions around big data and advanced analytics Remain current on new developments in AI/Machine Learning, distributed algorithms,

Big Data, Predictive Analytics, and Cloud Technology Quality Monitoring:

Own the development of automated, threshold-based reports that efficiently and reliably identify areas for further investigation and improvement. Act on the findings of these reports in a timely manner, prioritizing work efforts based on business impact.

Continuous Improvement:

Work with an evergreen roadmap of initiatives, powered by work in Quality Monitoring and Customer Engagement, helping to drive these projects to completion.

Governance:

Deliver on the consistent application of data custodianship, data usage and other internal control processes implemented across Equifax to ensure compliance and privacy policies and standards are met. Be an ambassador for our data assets and encourage data awareness which can assist with new opportunities and points of synergy What experience you need Bachelor’s degree or higher Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering or related quantitative field 3+ years’ experience applying predictive analytics and modeling to solve complex business problems 3+ years of analysis experience with business/company information is a plus Strong aptitude and proven ability to develop data-driven solutions to meet business objectives 3+ years of experience with data handling/quality tools and Big Data ecosystems i.e. SQL, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery. Strong SQL skills required. 3+ years of experience with data and business insights analysis which identify and drive ongoing excellence in data quality practices 3+ years of experience with Python, Tensorflow, and Spark Any experience or academic degree coursework with machine learning and artificial intelligence Experienced in developing AI/ML models using Matlab, Python, Scala/Spark, or SAS​ What could set you apart Strong communication skills of analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences alike Experience working on big data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Snowflake, Hadoop) is a plus Experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing), LLMs (Large Language Models) and/or Generative AI A strong sense of governance protocols, the need to respect highly sensitive data and proactive attention to regulatory, security and compliance driven policies Demonstrate leadership with cross-functional efforts; develop effective working relationships with peers, managers, and senior management within and across organizational lines The ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously Experience working with Commercial/Business information, especially when related to corporate ownership (corporate hierarchy) Creativity and drive, coupled with a desire to grow in thought leadership, initiative and strategic thinking We offer comprehensive compensation and healthcare packages, 401k matching, paid time off, and organizational growth potential through our online learning platform with guided career tracks.
