Overview The biologics research group at Insmed develops andapplies cutting-edge AI-driven protein engineering methods todesign next-generation biotherapeutics. The candidate will be acore member of the computational team and will collaborate closelywith multidisciplinary experimental teams in biologics discovery.
In particular, the role focuses on data analysis, visualization,and statistical modeling of data collected as part of our diversebiotherapeutic development campaigns. The candidate will have theopportunity to build and use tools to derive information from theserich datasets and thereby help guide design and engineering oflife-altering innovative biotherapeutic agents. ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities center on deploying, applying, evaluating, andimproving tools to manage, analyze, interpret, and visualize dataregarding our biotherapeutic development campaigns, in closecollaboration with associated experimental teams. This willinitially focus on primary data from the collaborating groups, butwill expand to include curation and targeted analysis of publicdata relevant to our biotherapeutics. Mastery of softwaredevelopment in Python is essential, as is the use of relevantanalytical, statistical, scientific, and visualization packages.
Practical experience with computational and statistical methods foranalysis of both small and large scale data is required. Managementand analysis of data within cloud-based platforms, including use ofand integration with databases, is beneficial. Additionalbeneficial proficiencies include creation of end-user availabletools and web portals and the use of REST APIs to access publicdatasets. Practical experience in machine learning or imageprocessing and analysis is beneficial. An MS, or a BS with 1-2years of experience, in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics,Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline This position canbe remote or hybrid in our research labs in NJ or NH.
