Data Science Engineer

POSITIONDESCRIPTION

: Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. is seeking a DataScience Engineer with the following duties: Design, build, andmaintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to collect, process,and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data fromvarious sources (e.g., sales, marketing, patient data, healthcareproviders, etc.); Ensure seamless data integration between internalsystems (CRM, ERP, financial systems) and externalhealthcare/pharma datasets (IQVIA, Symphony, Veeva, etc.); Automatedata ingestion and transformation processes using ETL/ELT tools;Define data engineering techniques and best practices for datatransformation, data integrity, test design, validation, anddocumentation; Integrate commercial data (sales, claims,prescription, payer data) with internal data sources (MDM,marketing campaigns, sales force activities, etc.) for betterbusiness insights; Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists,and business intelligence teams to understand data requirements andtranslate them into scalable data solutions; Regularly review andimprove data processing efficiency, addressing bottlenecks in datapipelines and ensuring system reliability; Developing chatbots andvirtual assistants (e.g., using GPT-4 or AWS Bedrock) to supportfield sales teams, HCP interactions, or customer service,automating responses to frequently asked questions, orpersonalizing HCP engagement. Up to 50% remote work allowed.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s in a Computer Science, InformationSystems, or data related field plus 5 years of related experience.

Prior experience must include: Work as Data Engineer Consultant formajor U.S. Healthcare industries for 5 years; Lead a data team inmigrating commercial healthcare data across multiple countries fromSalesforce to Veeva application for a major U.S. biotech company;Design data pipelines using Unix Shell scripts, Oracle PL/SQL tohelp a major U.S. biotech company launch their new product andimplement a new REMS module in TrackWise, as required by FDA;Implement the Reltio MDM process across multiple countries for amajor U.S. healthcare company, enhancing data management efficiencyand ensuring uniformity, accuracy, and improved data quality.
