: Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking aData Scientist with the following duties: Collaborate withcross-functional stakeholders to develop descriptive, prescriptive,and predictive analytics, generating actionable insights to addresscomplex business problems in drug development and market access;translate unstructured business problems into scalable data models,algorithms, and analytical frameworks, leading innovation throughthe full data science and machine learning lifecycle, from dataengineering to model deployment; leverage advanced statistical andmachine learning techniques to design and deliver data-drivensolutions using Python, and create impactful visualizations withTableau/Power BI for enhanced clinical and commercialdecision-making; manipulate and analyze large-scale, highdimensional structured and unstructured datasets from clinicaltrials, real-world evidence (RWE), and regulatory databases (e.g.,FDA), utilizing SQL and performing version control and cloud-baseddeployment on platforms like AWS; demonstrate expertise withpharmaceutical and healthcare datasets, including real-world data(RWD), clinical trial data, and drug safety information,proactively seeking insights through independent research andcollaboration with subject matter experts in medical affairs,regulatory, and clinical operations; ensure high quality deliveryof data science projects by implementing robust methodologies,quality control measures, and continuous improvement of datagovernance practices aligned with regulatory standards in LifeSciences. Up to 20% domestic travel required. Up to 80% remote workallowed from anywhere in the

U.S. REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, Math, Data Science in theLife Sciences Sector, or related field, plus 2 years of relatedexperience.

Prior experience must include:

collaborate with diversestakeholders across functions to drive innovative solutions,transforming complex, unstructured business problems into datamodeling and analytical strategies, and clearly communicatingresults and limitations; manipulate and analyze large,high-dimensional structured and unstructured datasets using querylanguages, managing code and version control with cloud computinginfrastructure such as AWS; develop and implement data scienceprojects across the lifecycle, using Python and visualization toolslike Tableau and Power BI to create insightful analytics, alongwith descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models in the LifeSciences sector; mentor and support colleagues, fostering thegrowth of the data science community, while building expertise inhealthcare and pharmaceutical data through research with variety ofdatasets and tools like Komodo Health and Definitive Healthcare. Upto 20% travel required. Full time. $126,500 – $186,000 per year.
