Scientist II – Data Review Job Description The Scientist II, Data Review is responsible for reviewing testing documents generated by the Quality Control Analytical department. The role involves supporting program needs, tracking timely delivery, and evaluating demand versus capacity. Additionally, the Scientist II will maintain electronic systems and coordinate with lab managers to resolve testing priorities and timelines. Responsibilities Review testing carried out by the labs, including routine testing, validation, and stability. Efficiently communicate with peers, QA, and staff to ensure timely corrections of data, resolve issues, and identify when support is required. Interact with auditors and clients during visits and tours, as needed. Assist in maintaining data integrity. Perform other job duties as assigned. Essential Skills Minimum of 1-3 years of
HPLC/UPLC
experience in quality, analytical, pharmaceutical industry, or similar experience. Knowledge of GMP regulations in a cGMP manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of scientific principles for a wide range of analytical techniques strongly preferred. Experience with quality control, analytical chemistry, wet chemistry, and cGMP. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 plus years relevant work experience required; STEM degree preferred. Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, Smartsheet, and Empower is needed. Knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, cIEF, CGE, DNA, ELISA, Bioassay Testing is preferred. Understanding of cGMPs and Quality Control regulatory requirements. Strong presentation skills through various formats (verbal, email, messenger, etc.). Ability to prioritize multiple timelines and coordinate reviews for multiple testing teams. Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize efficiently to meet timelines. Work Environment This position is a Monday-Friday role, from 8:00am-4:30pm, with a flexible start time post-training to cover core hours from 9am-3pm. Once fully trained, there will be one work-from-home day. The role involves desk work with 10% standing/walking and 90% sitting at desk/office. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as lab coats, gloves, eye protection, and safety shoes are required. The environment includes exposure to fumes, chemicals, acids, and bases.
