Insurance Services Office, Inc. seeks a Data Scientist in Jersey City, NJ.

Duties:

Manipulate, clean, analyze, visualize, and model data of varying volume and velocity with some guidance. Work with cross-functional peers and management to see a project through to deployment. Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner. Passion for empirical research and resourcefulness for problem-solving with data. Continue to learn about new and emerging technologies, business skills, and domain knowledge. Participate and help organize various innovative events such as hackathons and modeling competitions.

Requires a Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field. Also requires knowledge of the following skills, which may be gained through employment, internship, or academic coursework: (1) Programming in a common language such as python or R and their associated ecosystem of open source libraries; (2) SQL; (3) Machine learning or statistical concepts; (4)Data Science techniques such as Hypothesis Testing, Regression, Forecasting, Customer Segmentation or Churn Analysis; (5) Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SAP Lumira, Matplotlib, ggplot, Folium or Seaborn. Work from home permitted 1-2 days per week. Must work at employer’s office in Jersey City, NJ other days.
