Data Scientist Position Available In Hunterdon, New Jersey

The North America Sales & Distribution Data Analytics team at Chubb is seeking a Data Scientist with 1-3 years of industry experience to join our fast-paced, high-energy team. As a Data Scientist for North America Data Analytics, you will develop solutions to complex business problems which combine industry standard practices with innovation. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of analytic tools and technologies. Be ready to meet data challenges head-on as you develop and refine data processes to marry data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources which ultimately feed into the evaluation, implementation, and monitoring of predictive models.

In this role you will:

Undertake end-to-end analytics projects, either independently or in collaboration with other data scientists and cross-functional teams. Take the lead in understanding business requirements and translating them into effective analytics solutions. Execute exploratory data analysis, including data cleanup and preprocessing, to extract meaningful insights. Propose and implement appropriate approaches for model development, evaluating various algorithms and techniques. Support model deployment and monitoring to ensure smooth integration into existing systems. Embrace a nimble approach to problem-solving, effectively managing resources, technology, and delivery timelines. Identify the most suitable approaches to address specific business challenges, creating and testing quick proof-of-concepts (POCs) before proceeding with full-scale solutions. Conduct research to identify and recommend statistical and mathematical methodologies that are best suited for tackling each business problem. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and drive to continually learn and expand expertise in the field of data science. Take ownership of portfolios of projects, effectively juggling multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results in a timely fashion. Collaborate and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, through written reports and presentations.
