Schedules patients for operative procedures on the campus for the Main OR, Labor & Delivery Area, Anesthesia, SPU and the Special Test Department utilizing the OR Information System.
Furnishes the Department of Surgery, OB/GYN, Anesthesia, Patient Care Services and theAncillary departments with data and financial information. High volume of customer service contact, acts as a liaison for service recovery when t are issues with OR scheduling customers.
Expected to turn negative scheduling issues into positive resolutions. Works directly with surgeon and residents to resolve scheduling conflicts due to equipment and available block time.
Audits and enters data from perioperative documents. Investigates customer issues related to facility access, charting questions and patient accounts.
First responder to software trouble calls for the OR system users on and off campus. Experience Required
One to two years experience in clinical environment, preferably in a surgical office setting. Basic knowledge of AMA procedural terminology. Knowledgeable with Microsoft office including ability to produce financial spreadsheets.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required, some college with business accounting courses preferred.
