Donor Database Associate Position Available In New York, New York

Description We are looking for a meticulous Donor Database Associate to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This position involves supporting gift processing operations and maintaining data integrity within Raiser’s Edge. The role requires a strong understanding of donor databases and advanced skills in Excel and Word to ensure accurate data management and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile various types of donations, including pledges, memorial gifts, soft credits, and third-party contributions.
• Conduct thorough data cleaning to eliminate duplicate records and ensure accurate donor information.
• Update coding and donor records to maintain the integrity and organization of the database.
• Generate donor queries and reports for analysis and decision-making purposes.
• Perform mail merges using advanced Microsoft Word and Excel features.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve data discrepancies and exceptions effectively.
• Utilize Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s Edge NXT to manage donor data and streamline operations.
• Maintain daily reconciliation of gift transactions for accurate accounting and record-keeping.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to present donor data insights.
• Ensure compliance with audit standards and non-profit accounting practices. Requirements
• Proven experience working with Raiser’s Edge or similar donor database software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation.
• Skilled in performing mail merges and creating well-crafted documents in Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles and gift processing.
• Ability to conduct detailed data analysis and reconciliation.
• Excellent communication skills for addressing data exceptions and collaborating with team members.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
• Prior experience in data entry and maintaining high-quality data hygiene.
