Full Job Description Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to support their growing infrastructure team. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong background in hardware installation, IT support, and telecommunications. As part of a high-performance team, the Data Center Technician will play a key role in supporting mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT and communication systems in a data center setting. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware issues including servers, cabling, and networking equipment. Provide technical support and respond to customer inquiries via help desk tickets, live chat, or phone. Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders on project timelines and issue resolution. Travel occasionally to remote client sites for on-site equipment installation and maintenance. Manage tasks under tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and high-pressure situations. Recommend and implement improvements to test processes and infrastructure workflows. Install and remove racks, rails, power strips, shelves, and structured cabling in server rooms. Document and report any software or hardware deficiencies to the clients technical teams.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in data center operations, telecommunications, or electrical engineering. Familiarity with configuring, installing, and maintaining telecom and networking equipment. Strong analytical thinking and technical troubleshooting abilities. High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for access to certain client facilities).
