Job Purpose We are looking for an enthusiastic system administrator to support a unique team within the SCI Test Engineering Department. As our System Administrator, you will be responsible to manage multiple database solutions and as your experience progresses, will have the opportunity to hone your skills as a SQL Server and/or Visual Studio Web developer. Nature of Duties Responsible to manage several database solutions used to support a production environment Set and maintain database standards Manage database access Performance tuning of database systems Ensure that we are using the right infrastructure technologies for our applications Overseeing system performance and troubleshooting issues Creating backups and safeguarding the data Maintaining internal documentation Performing account setup Interacting with the IT help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identifying root cause, and providing technical support when needed. Partnering with internal and external entities to communicate project status, activities, and achievements
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field Two to three years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments Familiarity with SQL and SQL server tools Familiarity with Debian Linux (Ubuntu), Java, Visual Studio, Visual C, Visual Basic Excellent written and verbal communication skills Impeccable attention to detail Production process knowledge, a plus Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer – M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
