We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Mid-Level Database Administrator (DBA) with strong experience in Oracle to join our team in Huntsville . As a DBA, you’ll design, implement, and maintain moderately complex databases , ensuring high availability, strong performance, and security for mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Oracle-based databases with a focus on stability, scalability, and performance. Administer and test computer databases, applying deep knowledge of database management systems. Troubleshoot database issues, apply patches, and optimize performance. Evaluate, develop, and execute SQL code, queries, and stored functions. Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for proactive system monitoring and management. Maintain database dictionaries and oversee the integration of systems through thoughtful database design. Plan, coordinate, and implement database security measures to protect sensitive data. Coordinate and implement updates and structural changes to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
What You Bring:
6+ years of professional experience in database administration. Proven expertise with Oracle utilities , OEM , and advanced troubleshooting techniques. Strong skills in writing, debugging, and evaluating SQL code and Oracle database functions. Understanding of database security principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
