Job Description
Perform activities related to the day-to-day administration and maintenance of transactional databases, ensuring that the database is available, performing properly, and safe. Perform installations, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring, and configuration. Confer with appropriate managers regarding problems with and capabilities of databases. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Oracle, SQL Server, and Tibero databases. Support and development of applications. Perform backups, recoveries, installations, and security. Responsible for database performance tuning and tuning applications and database monitoring and operating system configurations. Assist in the logical and physical database and provide general support to users. Implement and administer database replication between Oracle, SQL Server, and Tibero databases, as well as dissimilar databases. Upgrade and upsize databases from earlier versions to the latest versions. Install, configure, administer, and secure production servers. Participate in database support activities throughout the full lifecycle of a project.
